What is Damenwahl

A room full of women who came to connect, not to collect business cards.

Damenwahl brings together professional women for regular, intimate evenings: one inspiring keynote, honest conversation, and the kind of connections that outlast the last glass of wine.

What began at Paulaner Bräuhaus Singapore as a focused circle for German-speaking women has evolved into a vibrant platform for the empowerment and connection of women, European-rooted and open to all.

Literally "ladies' choice": the dance at a traditional ball where, for once, the women do the asking.

We kept the spirit and skipped the dancing. At Damenwahl, women take the initiative: in the room, in business, and in their careers.

Our Story

It started with one evening in Singapore.

Damenwahl was founded in Singapore by Tanja Jesemann as a networking evening for German-speaking women, hosted at the Paulaner Bräuhaus. What was planned as one gathering became a series, and the series became a community.

The idea travelled by word of mouth, and so did the chapters: both new cities were started by women who first came to Damenwahl as guests in Singapore and took the evening with them. Hong Kong is the first international edition, Munich the first in Europe.

The original. Since 2019, Damenwahl has brought together a loyal and growing circle of women at the Paulaner Bräuhaus: evenings of honest conversation, one inspiring keynote at a time, and connections that have long outgrown the guest list.

What began as a gathering for German-speaking women has grown into a community with a life of its own, and into the blueprint for every Damenwahl edition that follows.
